Couture Cares is dedicated to empowering youth through events, education, mentoring, college readiness, and financial literacy programs. Founded in 2014 in Memphis, Tennessee, we operate as a nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization. Our goal is to create a supportive community where every young person, regardless of their background, has access to opportunities and resources needed for growth and success.
Our mission is clear: we aim to develop, engage, and empower youth from low to moderate-income families, ensuring they have the tools and support to thrive and reach their potential. Through our inclusive programs and commitment to equity, we strive to break down barriers and create pathways for youth to build brighter futures for themselves and their communities
Davina Jones, Executive Director
Davina Jones, a native of Memphis, established Couture Cares in 2014 as a 501(c)(3) organization. Her initiative aims to instigate positive change in the lives of youth in Memphis, fostering inclusivity regardless of race, color, or religion. The organization's flagship event, Her Prom Closet Experience, is dedicated to supporting young women across the Mid-South by providing complimentary prom attire, accessories, footwear, makeup, and essential life workshops.
Since its inception, this annual event has expanded beyond Memphis to encompass other states. The commitment of Couture Cares' Board of Directors, Advisory Committee, and Volunteers is unwavering, dedicated to fulfilling the organization's mission and vision. Their collective efforts are driven by a passion for Memphis and a shared aspiration for the thriving of all individuals they engage with. In addition to her role with Couture Cares, Davina has actively contributed to numerous community events throughout the Mid-South region.
